Teaching Opportunities

Our Studio is expanding and welcomes experienced, motivated piano and guitar instructors to join our team as independent contractors. We are committed to high pedagogical standards, structured musical development, and a professional studio environment.

Position: Contract Piano and/or Guitar Instructor

This is a contract-based teaching opportunity for educators who operate with professionalism, autonomy, and a strong sense of instructional responsibility. Instructors manage their teaching practice within the studio’s established framework while maintaining full ownership of their pedagogical approach.

Responsibilities

Provide weekly private piano instruction (30–60 minutes)
• Design structured, goal-oriented lesson plans
• Teach technique, repertoire, sight-reading, theory, and musicianship
• Prepare students for recitals and optional external examinations (e.g., Royal Conservatory of Music or ABRSM)
• Maintain professional communication with families
• Track student progress and maintain lesson records
• Participate in studio events and recitals

Qualifications

Degree in Music, Piano Performance, Music Education, or comparable professional background preferred. Candidates with a proven teaching trajectory will be considered.
• Demonstrated pianistic proficiency and stylistic fluency
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with graded curriculum systems (e.g., Royal Conservatory of Music, ABRSM, or similar)
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Reliable availability, particularly afternoons and evenings, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays
